As your business grows, so must your workspace. Here are some flexible options…

In 2020, being able to work from home was a perk, but for many companies, it became a requirement. But now that things are getting back to normal, businesses are realizing that a traditional office isn’t always the best way to work, both for employees and the business itself.

You’re not the only one who has thought about flexible work and looked for flexible office space for your employees. Almost two-thirds of companies around the world use coworking in some part of their business. Could flexible office space be the future of work, and if so, how do you find the right coworking space for your business? Read on to find out.

Coworking Centre

Due to the proliferation of coworking spaces, it is no longer necessary to start a company in a basement, cut off from the rest of society and potential clients. The economic advantages of being in close proximity to others are the primary emphasis of coworking spaces, which also provide an events calendar and an atmosphere that encourages innovation and teamwork.

Coworking spaces often include an open floor design with individual workstations or clusters of desks leased out to a variety of organisations, industries, and individuals. As the coworking market shifts towards a “hybrid” model of open plan and private space, some coworking centres may also provide private office space in addition to lounge spaces for downtime and access to meeting facilities.

Coworking spaces are becoming more popular as a means for businesses of all sizes to re-engage their workforces and adapt to the societal and cultural shifts that have occurred in the workplace, and whether you’re looking for a start-up space or you have an established company, this option can work for you.

Serviced Offices

In the 1980s, companies were looking for new ways to hire office space, and serviced offices were born as a flexible and cost-effective solution.

Although a serviced office centre, like a coworking space, may have some communal areas and open desks, the bulk of its rooms are often devoted to individual offices, conference areas, and even boardrooms. Members’ guests are welcomed and assisted by trained staff members at a front desk.

Serviced office centres vary from shared office spaces in that they include on-site administrative help, technical support, and other services to keep your company running smoothly. Pick and choose the amenities you want to be included in your monthly rent payment.

Many companies choose to lease serviced offices because of the professional image they project and the ease with which they can manage their office space and get extra support services.

Hot Desking

A “hot desk” is a workstation – which can be more than one desk if you need it to be – in an open plan room, the exact location of which might change from day to day. However, there will always be a place for you to sit, and you may make use of the many on-site conveniences (such as a kitchen, a conference room, and a place to relax) during your free time.

In contrast to shared office spaces, which often prefer to keep with dedicated workstations for convenience, coworking centres and most serviced offices provide hot desks.
